MALAYSIA: The Halal Development Corporation (HDC) will introduce a Waqf fund to assist MSMEs to develop Malaysia’s Halal industry, an official Facebook post confirmed. HDC has allocated RM4 million (US$917,120) to the fund, bringing the total additional fund value to RM9.1 million (US$2.09 million). HDC will work with Yayasan Wakaf Malaysia for the fund which is scheduled to launch in July 2022.
