Bank Negara Malaysia establishes two subcommittees to further develop Malaysia’s onshore financial markets

MALAYSIA: Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) has established the Islamic Financial Market Subcommittee and the Bond Market Subcommittee to further develop Malaysia’s onshore financial markets, the assistant governor of BNM, Adnan Zaylani Mohamad Zahid, announced in a welcoming remark at the signing of Malaysia’s first ESG Islamic repurchasing agreement. The Islamic Financial Market Subcommittee will identify and address challenges to the continued growth and development of the Islamic financial market, both domestically and globally.
