MALAYSIA: Tenaga National (TNB) has secured a financing facility of up to RM185 million (US$39.31 million) from CIMB Islamic Bank through its SPV TNB Bukit Selambau Solar Dua to finance its large-scale Solar Mentari project in Bukit Selambau in the state of Kedah, a statement confirmed.
Under the government’s Large Scale Solar@Mentari or Large Scale Solar 4 program, the project has a capacity of 50 MWac and is expected to achieve commercial operations in December 2023.
