MALAYSIA: The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) is planning to launch guidance on principles-based Maqasid Shariah before the end of 2023, which could be the first in the world, according to SC Chairman Dr Awang Adek Hussin.
In his keynote address at a conference, Dr Awang said through the guide, investors will be able to invest not only in Shariah compliant products in Malaysia, but also in those aligned with the principles of Maqasid Shariah.
