MALAYSIA: The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) has issued a guidance note on managing ESG risks for fund management companies (FMCs), a statement confirmed. The guidance notes seeks to provide clarity and outline the SC’s expectations on the development and implementation of practices, policies and procedures for effective analysis and management of material ESG risks and risk-related considerations that are present in the FMC’s investment portfolios in addition to facilitating meaningful disclosures to investors while driving positive impact and change.
