MALAYSIA: RHB Islamic Bank and its conventional counterpart RHB Bank have launched the #JomBiz program to provide seed funding to up to 500 microentrepreneurs comprising single parents, differently-abled persons, as well as other individuals from communities in need, among others, a statement confirmed.
Upon completion of the one-year program, which provides business pitch, business strategy, digitalization and financial literacy training, the 10 best business proposals from each cohort will receive seed funding of up to RM30,000 (US$6,317.64).
The program is in partnership with Taylor’s Community, Taylor’s University’s corporate social responsibility arm, and is part of the bank’s five-year sustainability strategy and roadmap.
