SAUDI ARABIA: The Public Investment Fund has auctioned 1.4 million tons of carbon credits in its largest carbon credit sale with 15 entities participating including the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC), a statement confirmed.
The auction offered Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation-compliant and Verra-registered carbon credits.
Other parties that participated in the auction include Abdul Latif Jameel, ACWA POWER Company, ENOWA, GOLF SAUDI, Gulf International Bank, Olayan Financing Company, Saudi Basic Industries Corporation, SAUDIA, Saudi Arabian Mining Company, Saudi Aramco, Saudi Motorsport Company, Saudi National Bank, Yanbu Cement Company and Zamil Group Holding Company.
