MALAYSIA: The Malaysian government has prioritized ESG-focused development programs in the 2023 pre-budget statement, a statement confirmed. The commitments include, among others, an allocation of RM20 million (US$4.47 million) to the MySDG Foundation, which will collaborate with the UN in setting up a trust fund to achieve the SDGs in Malaysia, in addition to empowering SMEs through targeted financing measures.
