GLOBAL: The International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC) has signed a US$1.5 billion financing agreement with Egypt to support the country’s energy and food sectors, according to an official post on LinkedIn.
Under the agreement, the ITFC will provide trade development programs and integrated trade solutions in Egypt through multiple programs with its international partners, such as the Arab-Africa Trade Bridges Program and the second phase of the Aid for Trade Initiative for Arab States program, to enhance the country’s role in global value chains with Arab countries, refine the skills of youth and women in entrepreneurship and develop SMEs in vital sectors in Egypt’s foreign trade.
