INDONESIA: The governor of Bank Indonesia (BI), Perry Warjiyo, has highlighted the role of social finance in achieving Indonesia’s economic sustainability agenda during the G20 finance talks, a statement confirmed.
The governor identified governance, innovation and digitalization as the three main drivers of optimization in strengthening the role of Islamic social finance and economic recovery. Moreover, synergy and collaboration between domestic and international institutions are required to strengthen the capacity of Waqf administrators and managers to accelerate Waqf project initiatives.
