GLOBAL: Global Ethical Finance Initiative (GEFI) plans to launch a Tayyib seal for Islamic investment products at the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference or COP28 in Dubai to address the importance of businesses being Tayyib (wholesome) as opposed to solely Halal (permissible), according to a press release.
The seal aims to bridge the gap between traditional Shariah compliant practices and the broader ESG standards to ensure Tayyib-inspired considerations can be effectively integrated into investment decisions and strategies.
