EGYPT: Egypt has launched its National Climate Change Strategy 2050 to support a greener Egyptian economy, Arab News reported. The government will enhance green finance and lead changes in the transport, petroleum and agricultural sectors with support from the private sector.
The strategy involves changes to the energy sector with a renewed focus on renewable energy, including a US$10 billion project to produce 10 GW of renewable energy.
