MALAYSIA: Bursa Malaysia has disbursed Zakat grants totaling RM250,125 (US$59,309.1) to six charities, a press release confirmed. The grants were obtained from the Zakat returned by Pusat Pungutan Zakat.
Among those selected are charities involved in upskilling marginalized or displaced communities, flood relief activities and agriculture entrepreneurship. Bursa has also set additional criteria where the applicants should focus on high-impact projects aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
