MALAYSIA: Amanat Lebuhraya Rakyat (ALR) has issued its RM5.5 billion (US$1.17 billion) SRI Sukuk Murabahah, a statement confirmed. As such, it has completed the acquisition of four highway concession companies.
IFN previously reported that ALR priced the sustainability Sukuk on the 23rd September 2022. The orderbook for the facility was oversubscribed by investors. The proceeds from the facility were earmarked to finance its acquisition of the four highway concession companies, the plans for which were announced in April 2022.
AmInvestment Bank, CIMB Investment Bank and Hong Leong Investment Bank were the joint principal advisors, joint lead arrangers and joint lead managers for the Sukuk program, while Maybank Investment Bank, RHB Investment Bank and United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) also acted as joint lead managers.
