GLOBAL: The Indonesian government’s cash Waqf-linked Sukuk initiative has won the 2023 IsDB Prize for Impactful Achievement in Islamic Economics, according to an official statement. The cash Waqf-linked Sukuk initiative is the first large-scale program of the Indonesian government to finance social projects via non-profit instruments supervised by the government, enhancing the diversity of the Islamic capital markets and supporting the integration between commercial and social Islamic finance.
